On July 21, 2017 – as part of an overall deal negotiated between Comcast and Disney – Disney acquired a 33% ownership stake in Hulu from Comcast (in exchange for giving up its voting rights), with an option to increase its ownership stake to 50% at a later date; as part of this deal, Comcast also committed to divest its 10% ownership stake in A+E Networks (which it received as part of the 2015 split of NBCUniversal and Comcast) to The Walt Disney Company by June 2024 at the latest;[6][7][8] as a result of this deal’s completion on March 19, 2019, NBCSN became one of several assets owned by both Comcast and Disney. In addition to being available on traditional television providers such as cable television and satellite television, it is also available on several U.S.-based internet TV providers including Xfinity Stream app and PlayStation Vue.
