The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car that has been manufactured by Chevrolet since 1953. It is built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and it is currently in its seventh generation. The first generation Corvette was introduced in 1953 and it was officially designated as a Chevrolet model. The first generation Chevrolet Corvette was based on the design of the 1953 Motorama show car. It featured a V8 engine and it was available in either black or white. There were only 300 units produced, and all of them were sold within two weeks of thecar’s debut.
The second generation Corvette was introduced in 1963 and it featured a new split-window design. The third generation Corvette was introduced in 1968 and it featured a new Stingray body style. The fourth generation Corvette was introduced in 1984 and it was significantly redesigned. The fifth generation Corvette was introduced in 1997 and it featured a new LS1 V8 engine. The sixth generation Corvette was introduced in 2005 and it featured an all-new exterior design.

Dodge is an American brand of automobile manufactured by FCA US LLC (formerly known as Chrysler Group LLC), based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge vehicles currently include the lower-priced badge variants of Chrysler-badged vehicles as well as performance cars, though for much of its existence Dodge was Chrysler’s mid-priced brand above Plymouth.
Corporate history
Dodge Brothers Company was founded in Detroit in 1900, and quickly found work manufacturing precision engine and chassis components for the city’s growing number of automobile firms. Chief among these customers were the established Olds Motor Vehicle Company and the then-new Ford Motor Company. Henry Ford selected the Dodge brothers to supply a wide range of parts and assemblies for his original Model A cars.
In 1914, having greatly increased their production capacity, the Dodge Brothers motor company relocated from Oakland Avenue to a new, larger factory on Piquette Avenue in Detroit’s North End. As early as 1915 or 1916, John Dodge and Horace started to market a line of well-made automobiles; initially they used motors produced by their employer (with whom relations had soured) but quickly began building proprietary power plants as well.
