How to Edit Sports Teams on Facebook

- Open Facebook and log in
- Go to the search bar and type in the name of the sports team you want to edit
- Click on the official page of the sports team
- On the left side of the screen, click on the About tab
- Scroll down to the bottom of the About page and click on the Edit Page button
- In the Basic Information section, click on the Edit button
- Change the sports team’s name, description, and category
- Click on the Save Changes button

Open Facebook and log in
1. Open Facebook and log in.
2. In the upper-left corner of the interface, locate and click the down arrow next to the word “Home.” A pop-up menu appears.
3. Select “News Feed Preferences” from the pop-up menu. The News Feed Preferences page appears, showing a list of all Facebook friends in the left sidebar and news stories that have populated the main window in recent days.
4. Click on the “Unfollow people to hide their posts” link in the left sidebar. A new window opens, listing all friends alphabetically with check boxes next to each name.
5. Scroll down the list and check or uncheck boxes next to each friend whose posts you do or don’t want to see, respectively, then click on the “Done” button when you finish making your selections
Go to the search bar and type in the name of the sports team you want to edit
From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
Type the name of the Page you want to edit into the search bar at the top and click Enter.
Click About on the left side of your Page.
Click Edit next to your category (ex: Athlete, Coach, League, Tournament). You may have to click See More first to see all of your category options.
Select a new category from the list that appears and click Save Changes.
Click on the official page of the sports team
Are you a fan of a certain sports team? Do you want to join or create a fan page for that team on Facebook so that you can follow their games, interact with other fans, and show your support?
Creating a fan page for a sports team on Facebook is easy to do and only takes a few minutes. Once you have created the page, you can invite your friends to join, post photos and videos, and start discussions about the team.
To get started, all you need to do is find the official page of the sports team that you want to create a fan page for. Once you have found the page, click on it to open it up.
Once you are on the sports team’s official Facebook page, look for the “Create Page” button. This button is located in the upper-right hand corner of the screen. Click on this button to begin creating your own sports team fan page on Facebook.
When you clicked on the “Create Page” button, a pop-up window will appear asking you what type of page you want to create. Since we are creating a fan page for a sports team, we will want to select the “Brand or Product” option. After selecting this option, click on the “Get Started” button to continue.
On the next screen, you will need to enter some basic information about your fan page. This includes the name of your page, as well as a description of what yourpage is about. Be sure to include keywords in your description so that people can easily find yourpage when they are searching for it on Facebook.
After filling out this information, click on the “Continue” button to move on To The Next Step. On this next screen, You will be able TO add tags For Your Page which will help people discover Your Page When They Are Searching For Similar Pages On Facebook
On the left side of the screen, click on the About tab
The About tab is where you can find all the information related to your profile. To edit the sports teams you follow on Facebook, click on the About tab on the left side of the screen. Then, under the “Contact and Basic Info” section, click “Edit” next to the “Sports” section. From there, you can add or remove any sports teams you follow.
Assuming you have a Facebook account and are logged in, go to the Facebook page of the sports team you want to edit. Scroll down to the bottom of the About page and click on the Edit Page button.
This will bring up a pop-up window with a number of options. In the middle of the pop-up, there will be a section labeled “Info.” This is where you can change the description, category, and contact information for the page.
To change the category, click on the “Edit” button next to “Category.” A drop-down menu will appear with a number of different categories. Select “Sports Team” from this menu and then click on the “Save Changes” button.
To add or change the description, click on the “Edit” button next to “Description.” A text box will appear where you can enter in a new description. Once you’re finished, click on the “Save Changes” button.
Finally, to add or change the contact information, click on the “Edit” button next to “Contact Info.” This will bring up a new pop-up window with a number of different fields that you can fill out. Once you’re finished, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of this pop-up window.
In the Basic Information section, click on the Edit button next to the words “Sports Teams.” A pop-up window will appear with a list of every professional sports team. You can search for a team by name or browse by sport. When you find the team you want to add, click on the Add button next to its name. The team will then be added to your list of sports teams on Facebook.
Change the sports team’s name, description, and category
Go to the Page.
Click About in the left column.
Click Edit next to the team’s name, description, and category.
Update the information and click Save Changes.
After you’ve made your changes, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page to save your edits.
