Spring training begins

During February, all 30 Major League Baseball teams will be in spring training as they prepare for the upcoming season. Spring training games begin on February 23rd.

The trade deadline is usually in late February, and it’s always a busy time for NHL front offices. Many big names have been traded at the deadline, and it’s always one of the most exciting times of the season.


Men’s and women’s basketball tournaments

Basketball tournaments are held in February for both men’s (March Madness) and women’s teams (the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament). Football bowl games are also played in December and January leading up to the final championship game, the College Football Playoff National Championship.
