Tyra Banks

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover models have been gracing our TV screens, magazines, and billboards since 1953. Each year, a new crop of gorgeous ladies are featured in the iconic swimsuit issue, and each year, we can’t help but compare them to the models who came before. Today, we’re taking a look at which supermodel has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit a record five times: Tyra Banks.

Banks first appeared on the cover of the swimsuit issue in 1996, when she was just 21 years old. She went on to grace the cover again in 1997, 2000, 2006, and finally in 2019. That makes her one of only four models to have appeared on the cover five times (the other three are Christie Brinkley, Kathy Ireland, and Elle Macpherson). In addition to her five covers, Banks has also appeared in 13 separate SI Swimsuit issues overall.

While she may no longer be gracing the cover of SI Swimsuit on a regular basis, Tyra Banks is still one of the most famous supermodels in the world. She’s currently host and executive producer of America’s Next Top Model and she’s also worked as an actress, author, and businesswoman. There’s no doubt that she’s still got it!
